New line of DSP based cooler drive electronics Print

Thales will launch two new cooler drive electronics for general use with linear coolers. Based on state-of-the-art DSP technology, the HPCDE and MPCDE ensure high rated performance combined with excellent accuracy and stability.

Enclosed by a rugid compact aluminum housing they achieve all requirements like dedicated control capacities, high set point accuracy at impressive overall efficiency.

High accuracy A/D converters process all analogue I/O signals includingthe TSD signal from the application to enable improved monitoring and control.

DSP technology allows for real-time corrections on DC input fluctuations to ensure stable AC output providing supreme temperature control by the cooler.
Extended cooler and CDE protection features are incorporated and can be programmed on specific customer needs.

Asynchronous communications enable real time interfacing with any computer of system platform for adjustments and read-out of process data, collected during operation.
Communication with the DSP is possible using an on board RS232 interface, accessible with standard RS232 software or specific graphical user interfaces. All connections are made through a single connector.

The level of maximum output current defines the choice of High Power (HPCDE2465) or Medium Power (MPCDE2450) converter type.
